Sage have just made the following announcement regarding Job Costing as they are rationalising their ancillary products and focusing on their core accounts products such as Sage 50.

Sage 50 Job Costing – Important Information

From 1 October 2014 no new sales of Sage 50 Job Costing will take place.

• Existing customers can continue to use the products
• No further Sage Technical Support will be available from 1 October 2016 – Synergy Network will review their support offering at this point;

We have tested Sage Job Costing with the latest version of Sage 50 (version 2015) which has just been released and it works successfully. So Job Costing will continue to work with Sage 50 versions up to and including the latest Version 2015. What is not clear is how it will work with future versions of Sage 50 and with future Windows operating systems such as Windows 10. In the meantime we will continue to support your Job Costing package.

We are also investigating alternative software to Sage 50 Job Costing and will be in touch when we have found a suitable replacement.
