DEFT – Sepa Ready

We have just completed our review and testing of DEFT, a new database product , which has been designed to create Electronic payment files for both Payments and Direct Debits under the new SEPA rules. This product has been tested fully and is already in operation by a number of businesses. DEFT is used primarily as a Standalone Database or alternatively by importing a payment file from an accounting system. As the SEPA deadline of February 1^st looms, it is important for businesses and organisations which upload payment /collection files to banks to have a plan in place to become SEPA compliant.

The file import facility is flexible and can import a csv file which contains for example

• Account code
• Customer name
• Bic
• Iban
• Amount
• Transaction number
• Mandate Signature date

DEFT then ensures the correct XML file can be created for uplift to the bank and retains comprehensive details of payments for each customer/supplier.
