We will shortly be holding Sage Improvers training courses in Leitrim and Roscommon.
The courses are commissioned by Local Enterprise Office Leitrim and Local Enterprise Office Roscommon.

The course is aimed at existing users of Sage accounts software (based in Leitrim or Roscommon) who want to get an advanced knowledge of using the software.

The Leitrim course will consist of 3 morning sessions commencing 12th April with follow up support onsite at your business.

Synergy Network provides two types of training…

  1. Classroom style training and
  2. Customised one-on-one training at end user premises or online by internet remote training.

We have just recently finished a long period of software training in the following counties this year

  • Sligo Local Enterprise office                Sage Improvers
  • Cavan Local Enterprise office              Sage Improvers

  • Leitrim Local Enterprise office             TAS Improvers & Sage introduction

All of the six programmes listed above involved a mixed element of both classroom and onsite tutor lead training for software users in the five counties listed above.

In the early part of this year we continued our programme of training for Revenue staff on Sage 50 accounts over a three day course. The training took place at the revenue offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway.

More training for Revenue staff is due to recommence in October this year and continue on into Spring 2016.

Local Enterprise Office Monaghan  has engaged Synergy Network Ltd  to deliver a  Computerised Accounts Programme for businesses located in  County Monaghan.

The Programme is aimed at new or potential users of Computerised Accounts who are already computer literate and familiar with basic book-keeping concepts.

Sligo Town

We are holding a Sage 50 improvers course in our Synergy Network Training centre located in our company offices at 3 Union Street in Sligo town. This two day course (November 17th and November 24th) is open to Sage users from any county and would be best suited to those users who are already familiar with basic sage processing but now what to get an advanced knowledge of using Sage 50 Accounts software .

Tony’s Favourite New Sage Features

Sage 50 Accounts 2015: – Inactive Accounts.

Our accredited Sage Trainer Tony Flanagan, has been taking a look at some of his favourite new Sage features in the latest  Accounting software release.

Over the years so many of our clients have asked us how to remove old customers/suppliers/products from their Sage listings.

The release of the New Sage Accounts is the answer to our prayers. We can put away our old solutions and embrace the introduction of Inactive Records.

The Inactive flag has been introduced to the Customer, Supplier and Product Modules and can be used to hide Inactive records from your lists provided they have a zero balance.

The Inactive checkbox is ticked and record saved.

The Customer list has a column indicating Inactive records with a Y.

The list of records excludes Inactive records when the Inactive flag is un-ticked.

The same concept follows through to the Supplier and Products modules. We hope that you are impressed.

In older versions of  Sage 50 Synergy solved the issue in one of 3 ways (so I think you can see that the new tick box is a super new feature)…

(1) Clear Audit Trail to remove old customer/supplier transactions thus permitting deletion of the record

(2) Clear Stock Activity to remove old stock transactions thus permitting deletion

(3) Creating an “Obsolete” category for old customer/supplier/product records and placing a search on the module so that category is not listed.

(Complicated!)

Leitrim Local Enterprise Office  has engaged Synergy Network Ltd to deliver a  TAS Books Computerised Accounts Refresher Training Programme for businesses located in County  Leitrim.
The Programme is aimed at existing users of TAS Books  software who are already familiar with the basic concepts of TAS Books  Accounts  and wish to acquire advanced knowledge of  the  Software, and ways in which it can assist them in running their business.

Versatility of Sage 50 – Cattle Marts

We have implemented Sage 50 systems in a variety of sectors ranging from retail, hospitality, manufacturing and services of all kinds. Our most recent implementation was for the Roscommon Co-op Livestock Mart which involved getting our heads around the purchase and sale of cattle with the various commissions, charges, contras and Vat accounting. Although there is a separate front office system for the individual cattle transactions, there was no overall computerised accounting system in place.  Roscommon Co-op are now in a position to run off monthly management accounts which will allow them review the performance  of their business in a timely manner. They also now can run off their Vat Reports and perform bank reconciliations within Sage 50 which saves them considerable time.
