Good news!! The recent budget had very little impact on the use of your Sage 50 accounting software.

Vat

The 9% Vat on tourism related activities is being retained.

From 1st January 2015 , cross-border EU telecommunications, broadcasting and electronically supplied services will be charged to Vat in the Member State of the consumer and not the supplier.

Payroll

The changes to Income Tax and USC rates and bands will become effective from 1st January, 2015 and corresponding updates to Sage Quickpay and Micropay payroll will be released by December, 2014.
