Sage 50 2012 Service Pack 1

Sage 50 2012 Service Pack 1 has been released. This service pack combines updates 1 through 3 with an additional update 4.

If your program version number is currently 18.1.0.8 or earlier you need to apply this update. Please check this in Help->About. If you have already applied updates 1 through 3, you can still install this service pack – it detects which updates are installed and which are missing. You can download the executable file for Service Pack 1 from here.

Before applying the update, backup your Sage data. Exit Sage and Microsoft Excel.

Your version number should now be 18.1.0.12.

Sage 2012 Update 3 Available

Sage 50 2012 Update 3 has been released. If your program version number is currently 18.0.11.227 you need to apply this update. Please check this in Help->About. If your version number is currently 18.0.11.209, you first need to apply Update 1 to your software. If your version number is currently 18.0.11.220, you first need to apply Update 2 to your software. You can download the executable file for Update 3 from here.

Before applying the update, backup your Sage data. Exit Sage and Microsoft Excel.

Your version number should now be 18.1.0.6.

Sage 2012 Update 2 Available

Sage 50 2012 Update 2 has been released. If your program version number is currently 18.0.11.220 you need to apply this update. Please check this in Help->About. If your version number is currently 18.0.11.209, you first need to apply Update 1 to your software. You can download the executable file for Update 2 from here.

Before applying the update, backup your Sage data.

Your version number should now be 18.0.13.227.

Sage 50 2012 Update 1 has been released. If your program version number is currently 18.0.11.209 or 18.0.10.208 you need to apply this update. Please check this in Help->About. Otherwise you do not need to run this update. You can download the executable file from here.

Before applying the update, backup your Sage data.

Your version number should now be 18.0.12.220.

Sage 50 Accounts 2011 Update 2 now available

To all Sage 50 users – please be advised that Update 2 for Sage 50 Accounts 2011 has become available for download. After you have applied this download your Sage version number should be 17.0.12.200.

Those of you with a Support contract can ring Synergy Network if your update does not automatically download or if you have any problems with the update. We can remotely access your machine and fix the issue for you.

Attention Sage 50 v13 users

You may recall that a month ago that we posted an article on Sage 50 and .NET Framework conflicts. At the time we were still gathering information on how this issue would affect Sage users. Today we came across this issue affecting a Sage version 13 aka Sage 50 2007 user.

Everytime the client exited Sage 50, he was encountering the following error…

Sage Ireland have issued a fix for this issue, again caused by updates to the Microsoft .NET Framework (most likely via Windows updates). If you encounter this problem, please ring Support on 071-9146815 and we will install the appropriate fix on your computer.

New ACT! Sage Accounting Link

Hot off the press – a new and improved link between ACT! and Sage 50 Accounts has been announced. Yesterday, at lunchtime, Malcolm attended a webinar detailing the imminent release of a service pack for ACT! 2010. Many of our customers will be delighted at the announcement which will see them able to import more Sage details from ACT! – both customers and suppliers, have the ability to create invoices from ACT! opportunities and much more.

Sage 50 and Windows 7

Those of you who recently purchased Windows 7 machines will have encountered errors when trying to generate pdf files from your Sage 50 software. An update has been released to fix this issue for those of you with the 32 bit version of Windows 7. Those of you running 64 bit versions of Windows 7 will have to wait a little longer for an update to be issued.

All Synergy Network Support clients with this issue should contact support@synergynet.ie and we will apply the update for you straight away.

Sage 2010 Update 2

Attention all Sage 2010 users!

Update 2 has just been released for Sage 2010. Upon application of this update you should be at version 16.0.17.0156 (check this in Help-About). This service pack addresses some speed issues users are encountering when creating new invoices and sales orders. At present this update is not available for automatic download, i.e. you will not be informed that a new update is available when you login to Sage. We shall endeavour over the next few weeks to contact all Sage 2010 users on Synergy Network Support in order to apply this update for them.
