Payroll Year End

December 15th, 2009

Attention Sage Micropay and Quickpay Payroll Users

Here is some important information regarding the Income Levy, Health Levy and Public Related Deduction (PRD).  Attached is a document explaining the different scenarios that you may encounter at Payroll Year end.

The Health Levy, Income Levy and PRD recalculation facility will be available in the Payroll Year End (PYE) update which should have been sent out to customers in early December 2009. Customers are advised to update to the PYE version prior to processing the final pay period for all payrolls, in order to ensure that the relevant recalculations take place.

If you have any queries regarding this, please don’t hesitate to contact the Sage Payroll Support team at pye@sage.ie

Life is a Cabaret

December 9th, 2009

As promised last week, we are delighted to bring you a report on life in Thailand, from Anne, (just to prove that not all our news is about Sage and Exchequer!).

“What good is sitting alone in your room? Come hear the music play!”

Oh everyone, last night I saw the most amazing cabaret show. One night last week, I was hungry after work so I called into the local 7/11 for a bite to eat at 1.30am. Crying into a damp lilac hanky as if he longed for it to be douched in ether rather than Eau de Hadrien, was the most beautiful ladyboy, looking as if oblivion would have been infinitely preferable to the rigours of real life. So I sat down and we chatted about his broken heart and how he performed in a cabaret show but really wanted to own his own hairdressing salon. » Read more: Life is a Cabaret

Synergy Network in collaboration with JustScan

December 7th, 2009

Following a recent meeting with Niamh O’Brien of JustScan Ltd., we are embarking upon a Sage integration project for the first quarter of 2010.

Our plan is to link Sage 50 with the three JustScan Point of Sales systems, namely PharmEPOS, ModaPOS and ShopEPOS. This link-up will be implemented through the Sage Development Kit, allowing transactions such as Purchase Invoices or Sales receipts from POS systems to be written directly into Sage 50. This will eliminate any duplication of input and thus reduce the risk of errors.

Synergy Network goes Global

December 1st, 2009

ThaiBeachThose of you who regularly ring in with your Support queries will have noticed that we have recently opened up a new Asian office. You may have noticed a slight delay on the line when you are speaking to Anne, on account of the fact that she has relocated (temporarily) to our new office in Thailand (pictured right).

We would like to thank Des Morrow of DM Computing for making it all possible with our fantastic 3CX phone system. Anne has promised to compose a special post from Thailand to keep you all updated with her news. Watch this space…
